<image:title>Home - Each year thousands of wildlife in Ithaca and surrounding areas are injured or orphaned due to human activity. Our goal is to be able to help as many of these animals as we can. We take in sick, orphaned and injured wildlife with the main goal of treating and releasing them back to the wild as soon as safely possible to ensure their best chance of survival. We can take in small mammals from all over New York. Our continued operation is dependent entirely on the generous donations of individuals and organizations who care about the quality of life for an otherwise defenseless wildlife population.</image:title>

      <image:title>Home - Meet Lulu, our education ambassador!</image:title>
<image:caption>As we grow, we are also committed to another essential part of our mission, to educate the public about how to coexist peacefully with our often fragile local wildlife population. Each animal plays an important role in balancing our ecosystem. I believe that a better understanding of these roles, will help to foster a deeper appreciation for our wildlife. As humans, our most significant role is to be responsible stewards of our planet. One of the opossums under our care, Lulu, is unable to be released due to the nature of her injuries. Lulu has an adorably friendly personality, which makes her an excellent educational ambassador animal. Together we hope to help people to fall in love with opossums and other creatures and to realize how beneficial they are to our ecosystem!</image:caption>
